Some New Soaps Now Available

Summer is such a busy time, and it has been awhile since I’ve done a blog post.  I’ve been doing the markets, plus every once in  awhile, my husband and I like to get away in our travel trailer.  Also, I’m going to be taking a course, learning how to build and maintain my own website.  I’m so excited about this, plus in the long run, will save me quite a bit of money.  I can pay myself, instead of someone else.

I have made some remakes, with a different look, plus some new cakes and cupcakes, that are not quite ready yet, but I will be posting pictures of them soon.

New is Lavender Rosemary.  This one is all natural, and scented with Lavender and Rosemary essential oils.  It has a beautiful floral yet earthly scent, that I find quite calming.

Also new is Starry Nights.  This one  has top notes of jasmine, lemon and rum; middle notes of pungent lilac, rose, cedarwood, and balsam, with a creamy base of vanilla. This complex fragrance combines over a dozen different aromas to create an unique fragrance blend of spice, floral, citrus and earth tones. Even with all of these scent combinations, this is not a strongly scented soap, but a nice mild scent.

And lastly, this one is not new, but has a new look.  Black Linen and Amber.

Today, I made some embeds, that will be going into some new fall and winter soaps.  Well I hope you like these ones.  More to come soon.

Soaps for Father’s Day

This Sunday, June 16th is Father’s Day.  I truly hope you honor and appreciate the men in your lives.  I sadly lost my Father 2 and a half years ago, but I still have my Father  in Law, My wonderful husband, and my three sons.  I love to make products for them, and here are some of their favorites.

My father in law really loves my soft soap shaving cream and my Lavender Oatmeal Milk and Honey Soap. This whipped shaving soap is a cream soap with added Argan Oil, to help soothe irritated skin.

shavingcream2013logh2012 My sons favorites are my Oceanus, Jojoba Silk Shampoo Bar and my Dead Sea Mud soap.

sprayinconditionerMore and more men do come into my booth at the farmer’s market.  They too, like nice products for their skin, so why not give them a personal treat.  Whatever you decide to do for the men in your lives, I hope you have a special day celebrating with them ~Darlene

Remake “Sea Salt Spa Bar”

For the past year or so, I really wanted to purchase an acrylic mold for my salt bars, as I really hate cutting salt bars.  I have burnt my fingers more than once.  So I finally caved and purchased a beautiful mold from Soap Making Resources.  I really love it.

So the first time I used it, I poured all of by my soap batter into the mold, and then placed in the dividers.  It worked beautifully, except for one thing.  I should not have poured all of my batter into the mold, because these bars are huge.  Each one weighs minimum of 245 grams.  I have listed these on my website for $10.00 each, which I think is a fair price for the size.  We will have to see if they sell.  Anyway I have wrapped them in ribbon and a little jewel, so they are quite pretty.

These bars are scented in Spearmint, Eucalyptus and a touch of Peppermint.  Very fresh and clean.  Also, I’ve added 40% sea salt to these bars.  Very detoxifying, moisturizing and fresh.seasaltspa2013

Some New Soaps That Are Now Available

I have been so busy this past couple of weeks.  Last week my Mother was here, visiting with me, and that was really nice, as I only get to see her a couple of times a year.  So when she is visiting, I like to spend all of my time with her, so that means I don’t get a lot done in the way of working on my products, etc. Plus the market season is starting up this weekend, so I’m trying to get ready for that.  All of that being said I have been remiss in posting the soaps that are now available and on the website.

emu soap1This is my Unscented, Emu soap made with full Goat’s Milk.  It is designed for those with sensitive skin.

HST2013aHello Sweet Thang, a remake is now back in stock.  This soap is fairly sweet, and is loved by teenage girls.

bluesugar1Blue Sugar, this one is New.  This one in my opinion, is more of a sultry scent.  I personally really like it.  It would make a nice unisex soap

pomegranate1Pomegranate, I love this scent.  If you like fruity scents, then you will love this one.  This one is a glycerin soap.  I did make a test batch of this scent in cold process, but it just faded away.  The glycerin soap, holds the scent nice and strong.

satsuma2013aSatsuma, is a lovely fresh scented soap.  A combination of citrus scents, this one is a favorite for anyone who like citrus scents. Nice a clean.

mangopapaya2013aAnother remake – Mango & Papaya – This one is also very popular.  I just put this one on the website, and it is already almost gone.

Well I think that is everything I have done in the past little while. Next week it is back to restocking, bath products.   Have a nice week – Darlene
