Soaps for Father’s Day

This Sunday, June 16th is Father’s Day.  I truly hope you honor and appreciate the men in your lives.  I sadly lost my Father 2 and a half years ago, but I still have my Father  in Law, My wonderful husband, and my three sons.  I love to make products for them, and here are some of their favorites.

My father in law really loves my soft soap shaving cream and my Lavender Oatmeal Milk and Honey Soap. This whipped shaving soap is a cream soap with added Argan Oil, to help soothe irritated skin.

Remake “Sea Salt Spa Bar”

For the past year or so, I really wanted to purchase an acrylic mold for my salt bars, as I really hate cutting salt bars.  I have burnt my fingers more than once.  So I finally caved and purchased a beautiful mold from Soap Making Resources.  I really love it.

So the first time I used it, I poured all of by my soap batter into the mold, and then placed in the dividers.  It worked beautifully, except for one thing.  I should not have poured all of my batter into the mold, because these bars are huge.  Each one weighs minimum of 245 grams.  I have listed these on my website for $10.00 each, which I think is a fair price for the size.  We will have to see if they sell.  Anyway I have wrapped them in ribbon and a little jewel, so they are quite pretty.

These bars are scented in Spearmint, Eucalyptus and a touch of Peppermint.  Very fresh and clean.  Also, I’ve added 40% sea salt to these bars.  Very detoxifying, moisturizing and fresh.seasaltspa2013

Soaps for Mother’s Day

These soaps were made last week, but will be ready in time for Mother’s Day.  The pink ones are scented in a lovely soft Rose, and the purple ones are scented in a very delicate but beautiful floral, Rice Flower & Shea.  I’m sure your Mom with love them, I know my Mom will 🙂

Remake – Coconut Banana Cream, Soap Slice, Soap Cake Slice, Cupcakes and Mini Soap Cake Slices

Last year I came up the idea to make a soap with real banana’s in it, along with goat’s milk.  I scented it with Coconut, Chocolate Fudge, and Buttercream fragrance oils, and it really does smell delicious.  Banana’s and Goat’s milk provide numerous benefits to the skin.  Banana’s are said to be very good for those who suffer from acne conditions, and goat’s milk always make the soap moisturizing and creamy.  So hear is my design for this year.

On the Curing Rack

So as I  have said in my past posts, I am really busy right now replenishing my soap stock, plus adding in new stock.  Rather than bore you and show you everything I have made recently here are some new soaps that are on the curing rack and ready to be put on the website soon.

Teatreefaial

This soap is made with Coconut Milk & Activated Charcoal, which is said to help detoxify and cleanse the skin.  I also added Australian Ivory Clay, which is a very genlte clay that helps to draw impurities from the skin.  This soap is scented with essential oils of  Lemongrass, Tea Tree and Lavender. It is not recommended using a wash cloth with this soap, as it could stain.

The next new soap I have recently made is Sensitive Skin Oatmeal Soap.  Designed for the very young and the elderly or anyone with sensitive skin.  Made with Organic Sunflower Oil and Organic Cocoa Butter this soap is mild and gentle.  Oatmeal is soothing to the skin.

Another new soap, and I personally love the scent on this one, is Blushing Lavender.  Scented with Ylang Ylang and Lavender.  A really nice floral.

The Tea Tree Soap should be up on the website next week.  The other two towards the end of the month.  There are more new soaps made, plus a soap and solid sugar scrub in one bar, and other goodies that will all be available soon. 🙂
